Paul Gilbert Interviewed by Switzerland's Stringworks

What If..., the latest studio effort from the now-reunited Mr. Big, is set to be released in Europe on January 21, 2011 via Frontiers Records. The North American release, also on Frontiers Records, will follow on February 8.

What If... marks the band's first "all-original" album since the 2009 reunion of the band's four original members: Eric Martin, Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan, and Pat Torpey. Sixteen years after the release of Hey Man, the latest album will likely bring Mr. Big back into the spotlight. (Read More)

Paul Gilbert to Release Third Instrumental Album


Guitarist Paul Gilbert will release his third instrumental album through Shrapnel Records on August 3. The album, titled Fuzz Universe, is a commentary on Gilbert's own immersion in the world of guitar. "Every generation of guitar players has their own terminology for the rock guitar sound: Distortion, Overdrive, Gain, Crunch, Saturation, Drive etc. For me, the word is 'fuzz.'" (Read More)
