Greek melodic metal act Firewind, led by guitarist Gus G., has returned with a new album. Titled Days of Defiance, the album is scheduled for worldwide release on October 25.
The video for the album's first single, "World on Fire," is now available for exclusive viewing via MetalSucks. The renowned Patric Ullaeus shot the footage for the clip.
Firewind is set to celebrate the release of Days of Defiance with a limited number of North American headlining shows. Kicking off on November 4 and running through to November 7, the brief tour will also feature support by Powerglove and The Absence.
Whilst commenting on the band's latest video, Gus G. said:
"The video for "World on Fire" was shot entirely on green screen and I think this time Patric Ullaeus has outdone himself! The concept is based on the album cover artwork and it's something we're doing for the first time on a video of ours. There's a barbaric vibe to it, lots of fire, metal warriors and even a Valkyrie. We're very pleased with the final result and we believe this is our best video yet. Check it out and let the Firewind rage on. (Read More)
